Yes, the puzzle is mostly flipping the pattern around and rotating. (If you get lost, look for which pieces are bigger. They go in the "back.") Dont buy this if youre looking for a challenge. Buy it because watching the images merge and become one thing is awesome every single time. This is about a dozen times more true with your own pics.

The bummer is that the simplicity does get a bit old after a few minutes at a time, but thats ok. There are so many puzzles that youll have "just a few minutes" many, many times.
